1. Explain the following with reference to the context: 8x2=16
(a) But it is a common proof,
That lowliness is young ambition’s ladder,
Whereto the climber-upward turns his face;

He then unto the ladder turns his back
Looks in the clouds, scoring the base degrees
By which he did ascend.
Or
